This year, Waste Free Earth will transition into a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Burlington, VT.

The mission and services will remain the same. Waste Free Earth creates closed-loop systems that are community-based because zero waste is a collective effort. The tools to create sustainable change must be accessible to everyone, not just those with deep pockets.

However, transitioning to a non-profit will open the organization up to new opportunities that will only amplify reach for our community-shared system models like the Plastic Film Recycling Program in Chittenden County, Vermont.

Community-shared systems are incredibly important because they reconnect us to society’s most pressing single-use waste problems. We believe in the collective access to resources, knowledge, and implementation to create circular procedures and eliminate waste.

I’m super excited for this new chapter and hope you are too.

I have lots to work on and because of this, Waste Free Earth will be taking a pause on our educational resources and will not be accepting any new clients until April 2022.

I will be doing one-off consultations and trainings if you are in need before April 2022. I can be reached at hello@marinamccoy.com

Thank you for all of your support over the years, especially these last two.

See ya on the other side!

Marina M. McCoy,

Founder of Waste Free Earth
