Monthly Planet Pickup – September
Hello, Earth Loving people!
We have a NEW LOCATION for the month of September! It is a HOT SPOT, meaning there is a good amount of trash that needs to be picked up.
This also is the 4th Saturday and not the 3rd Saturday of the month since we are joining forces with the Rozalia Project: For a Clean Ocean.
On the 25th of September, multiple teams will pick up trash from various locations around Chittenden County. At the end of each pickup, the team leads will haul the trash to Outdoor Gear Exchange (OGE) for a community waste audit to identify the key waste contributors.
We encourage you all to join us for the community audit and stay for some socializing and prizes!
The Rozalia Project has identified a hot spot for us in South Hero:
Sand Bar Inn
59- US route 2
South Hero, Vermont
We understand that this isn’t walkable but we hope you can utilize this group to carpool with each other!
There is a good amount of clean-up to be had so please bring closed-toe shoes and long pants unless you don’t mind getting trashy 😉
For those wanting to cruise around the location, there are many places for trash to be found, especially micro-trash! So don’t feel like you need to go ‘all in,’ to take part in the clean-up.
We will have some extra trash pickers and buckets, but we encourage you to bring your own trash picking set up. Don’t forget some gloves!
So what do you say, come pick up trash and keep the earth clean with all of us? We thought so.
In partnership with the Rozalia Project: For a Clean Ocean
Our monthly Planet Pickups typically fall on the 3rd Saturday of every month but this month it is the 4th.
